4-Hour Annuity Suitability Training Courses in Colorado, Iowa, and Oklahoma

This online course provides an in-depth look at the suitability and disclosure requirements that pertain to the sale and placement of annuity products, and has been approved by the Colorado Department of Insurance, Iowa Department of Insurance and the Oklahoma Department of Insurance as a NAIC Annuity in Suitability training and continuing education course.

Colorada 4-Hour Annuity Training Requirement: Effective June 1, 2011, All producers currently licensed to sell, solicit, and negotiate annuity products must complete a one-time annuity training course approved for at least 4 hours by December 1, 2011. All producers licensed on or after June 1, 2011 must complete this training prior to selling, soliciting, or negotiating such products.
Iowa 4-Hour Annuity Training Requirement: Effective January 1st, 2011 Iowa Administrative Rule 191-15.72 requires all insurance producers selling annuity products in the state of Iowa to obtain 4 continuing education credits by an approved vendor offering an annuity products course. This is a one-time requirement and is not a condition of license renewal. This is a separate requirement than the already existing rule 15.80 for Indexed Insurance Products. WebCE also offers a course to fulfill this training requirement called, Introduction to Indexed Products.
Oklahoma 4-Hour Annuity Training Requirement: Producers licensed to sell, solicit, or negotiate annuity products prior to July 14, 2010 must complete a one-time annuity training course approved for at least 4 hours before July 14, 2011. Producers licensed on or after July 14, 2010, must complete this training prior to selling, soliciting, or negotiating such products.
